Describe the car, even if it appears drivable
Start with the model, registration if available and why the car needs transport. Explain whether it starts, rolls and can be steered. Mention damaged wheels, locked brakes or visible damage that may affect loading. If it will not start, distinguish a planned transport request from asking about on-site jump-start assistance.
Vehicle weight and dimensions affect the assessment. For heavy vehicles, we offer on-site assistance rather than towing or transport. Uncertain vehicle details need checking before a transport is confirmed. Do not assume that a particular capacity has already been agreed.
Explain access to the collection point
Give the actual address and how to reach the car. A courtyard, narrow entrance or locked barrier can matter as much as the distance to the workshop. If the car is underground, our guide to recovery from a parking garage can help you describe access.
Explain who has the car key and who can act as the collection contact. Agree on a secure handover rather than leaving a key unattended. If you cannot be there, we need to discuss how collection can be arranged.
Confirm the destination with the workshop
Provide the workshop name and address, and check that it can receive the car at the intended time. Ask where the car can be left and how the key should be handed over. A workshop appointment and an agreed transport are separate arrangements; both need to fit together.
Tell us about a changed destination before the job takes place. A closed entrance or a workshop that cannot receive the vehicle can change the conditions. Have a contact number for the recipient and ask for clear delivery instructions.
Details needed to discuss a price
Collection point, destination, vehicle and access are important. Mention specific timing needs or difficult loading conditions. Our guide to what affects towing costs suggests further questions.
A general price without those details may not reflect your job. Ask about the work, transport and any additional charges before agreeing. The form provides contact details; it does not automatically book a collection or confirm a time.
Send a clear set of details
See vehicle transport in Stockholm, or choose car transport in Solna if that is your location. Speak directly to the driver to discuss the job. Price, capacity, destination and timing are confirmed before agreeing to transport.
